If
God brought you to it, God will take you through it.
Praise the Lord Saints, giving honor to our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ, and Pastor Brockington. I thank and praise God for his
wonderful mercy and delivering power. On Friday, October 15, 2004, while working
in Florence, SC. I was involved in an accident that could have taken my life.
The Pepsi Cola truck I was driving was struck by another 18- wheeler while I was
making a right turn onto Darlington Street. The impact was so hard that it
picked the truck up and moved it about 15- 18 feet, the truck stop moving after
it broke a sideway signal and the trailer cut into a light pole. I thank God for
being there to deliver me. I walked a way from the accident, no rescue services
were needed, I was checked out at our Occupational Health Center, but God
allowed me to be alright. Here are photos of the truck I was driving:
All I can say is:" Who wouldn't serve a God
like this!"

If God brought you to it, God will take you through
it.
In the year 2000, I went back to school to get my
diploma. I could have finished a long time ago when my children were young
but, I had to stop because I didn't have anyone to watch over them.
When God did may a way for me to go I was afraid, I guess I felt as if I was to
old and my self-esteem was very low. One day I was talking with Sister Dara
Brockington about it and she felt that I should go back, because I wasn't
too old to learn. She help me see that I should not feel that way and that
she had a lot of confidence in me, so I went back to school and I made it
through. You should have seen me Graduation night when I marched down that aisle
to get my Diploma, my face couldn't tell it all. It was 2002 when I received my
diploma, and had it not been the Grace of God I wouldn't have made it . I would
like to share another moment with you of how Jesus blessed me. I went into
the hospital in November to have surgery, a Colon Section. I stayed in from the
10th until the 17th of the month. Well, let me explain how this came to be. One
day, I had a bad cold and I went to the doctor to take my grandson, I asked
myself, " If I can come to bring him why don't I come to this doctor as
well?" I asked the receptionist if I could change personal doctors and she
said," yes". The doctor asked me why did I feel the need to change,
and I told him that the other doctor couldn't find what was wrong with me. The
doctor sent to take a test called a colonscopy. And from that test a growth was
found on my colon and that caused the need for this surgerical procedure . I
thank God finding it just in time because had I waited longer the condition
would have worsened. I thank God for switching doctors because the other doctor
never sent me for a test .While I was in the hospital Elder Brockington and his
wife as well as many saints visited and blessed me in so many ways, I felt
so special. Elder Brockington came the day of surgery and when I went into
surgery and when God blessed me to open my eyes after he was there. Sister
Eartha and Brother Levern came by to visit and Sister Eartha said she would do
my hair, she didn't know how special those words made me feel. Brother Lerven
told me think of this as a vacation, just rest and let everyone wait on me hand
and foot, and don't worry about anything. That made me feel better because I was
a little worried. And some of the Saints told me they would keep me in their
prayers and not worry because everything would be alright. God blessed
everything to be just that, Alright. I didn't have but one bad night while I was
there, the Lord blessed me and I thank him. He is the one that brought me
through he had the doctor's hands in his hands through the operation. Every
time, I think about how I got to this point, the way thing happened I
thank God. I didn't know what a colonscopy was, I thought it was something done
due to pains in your stomach, I heard of others having it done, but now I know
for myself.
