In Obedience to The Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in Mark 16:15-16,
"...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
We, the Progressive Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, are committed to preaching the gospel to a dying world. The words of Jesus Christ, stated in Luke 4:18-19, vividly describes our commitment;
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
Acts 26:18 summarizes our mission in this fashion.
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
