Learn to Endure

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." II Timothy 2: 3

Every baptized believer in Christ Jesus should be able to survive the attacks of the enemy (Satan) during crucial times in his/ her life. He/ She should not throw in the towel to defeat so easily. We are to be fighters and winners in Christ Jesus.

".... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37

To endure is to have the ability to stand in crucial times; to hold out, no matter how long the battle rages; to stay; to abide; to continue on in the faith; to outlast your enemy (Satan); to survive; to suffer through without complaining.

I. To Handle Pressure:

A. Develop an unwavering faith in God.
    1. Whatever you need the Lord to do ask in faith.                        (James 1:5-7)

B. Don't be surprised when the battle is in your house.                       (I Peter 4:12)

C. Instead of complaining, count it all joy. (James 1:2)

Remember, a quitter never wins
And a winner never quits.

D. Believe in your God. ( II Chronicles 20:20)
    1. Pray and praise God in the midst of the battle.
    2. Thank God for victory in every situation.
    3. Keep the joy of the Lord in your heart. (Nehemiah 8:10)

II. The Proper Attitude:

A. Think positive. (Philippians 4:13)

B. Encourage yourself. (I Samuel 30:6)

C. Have genuine faith in God and his Word. (Mark 11:22)

D. After you have suffered awhile, deliverance will come.                 (I Peter 5:10)

E. Trust God in matter what comes your way.

F. Know that you are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37)

When things seems to be more than you can bare, that is the time to trust the Lord and believe that "No weapon formed against you shall prosper....." Isaiah 54:17

" Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."                   St. John 6: 27
